Sils Project Space is proud to announce its forthcoming exhibition, The Self-Moving Number. This exhibition brings together four artists whose work deals with notions of time, space and materiality. Aesthetics from different time periods, as well as questioning the stuff the moon’s made of and gifs steeped in gestalt are presented here as a survey that looks at the object. How do we associate with it? What is its role in the wider cultural field? How does an object’s composition dictate how we view it?

To inaugurate the program of Witte de With’s new Director, Defne Ayas, AA Bronson will lead a ritual blessing, with no documentation and no audience, on 14 March 2012, at the time of the waning half moon. AA Bronson is known for his secret performances in secret locations. In 2013, he will curate a thematic exhibition at Witte de With, titled: The Temptation of AA Bronson.

Sylvie Hogerzeil makes impassioned pen and pencil. Her drawings are endless detail, making the eye of the viewer can continue endlessly searching within her images. Her lines shrink and move. The fine details whispers to the viewer. It is poetry, captured in pictures.
