BarrelProof Boutique, the worlds smallest cocktail boutique on Hoogstraat 49a in Rotterdam is a small oasis for people that are interested about this ancient craft called ‘Cocktails’. The small and friendly boutique opened their doors this year for a wide audience of ‘sippers’ but also drawled attention of restaurants & bars located in the south of the Netherlands.

Last month Ketelbinkie handed out the Coffee awards. Cappucino at Haagseveer won this award also Koekela and Hostel Room Rotterdam were awarded. Personally I am more a fan of The Urban Espresso Bar and the Lof der Zoetheid.

On the edge of the excavation in the central station square lies Lebkov, a fresh company with really nice and affordable sandwiches. Besides that, they offer a good cup of coffee and a selection of 3 juices, to go or to stay.

This little bistro in Kralingen is all you wish for on a sunny day. They have a nice terrace in a pretty street and the interior is cozy and home-like. Go and get a bite of their delicious foods and don’t forget to try their lavender-orangejuice… Really refreshing!

The food at Bij Bao in the Pannekoekstraat is not a standard menu nr.3 at your local bami supplier but, gives you an authentic taste of the Beijing cuisine. Also it’s pretty cheap too. My personal favorites are the pancakes and the fishballs.

Whenever you crave for a supernice pizza; the oldest pizzaplace in Rotterdam is called Angelo Betti and is located at Schiekade 6a. It’s really a ‘Famiglia-Impresa’ since the whole family seems to work at the restaurant! They don’t have a website but you can find them at Schiekade 6a, 010 4658174

From the moment you walk into this Italian restaurant, you’ll have their full attention. They receive you with a free glass of red wine, some bread and olives and a bruschetta. The food is absolutely delicious and maybe their interior is not as fancy as seen in the latest Frame magazine, it is nice though. Makes you feel comfortable and relaxed.

De Jonge De Jong is a small restaurant located in Rotterdam-Katendrecht. Let the chef surprise you or pick some good stuff by yourself. Enjoy your meal!

Little cute place where you can sit and have coffee, fresh orange juice with a piece of cake or small bites like soup, tosti’s etc. for nice prices. They also sell homemade marmelade and cake to go. Open from monday ‘till saturday 10.00-17.00 Adress: Schiedamseweg 112-B (Delfshaven)

Beat Burger sells the best burgers in town. They are located at the Meent 119-133, inside gallery Roodkapje Rottterdam.

‘De IJssalon’ is a people’s favorite. Open from march ‘till october, it’s a nice place to relax and enjoy one of their daily fresh home made ice-creams.

This is the place for breakfast, lunch and a lot of sweetness. A very good atmosphere, thanks to the fantastic decorations and probably the best service you can wish for. Without any doubt my favorite place to be!
