La Chiva Gantiva is a Belgium Worldmusicband with a Colombian (kern) of three people, completed with a Vlaming, Vietnamese and a Frenchmen. Pelao means ‘bold’, but their music is a combination from Colombian rhythms, funk, pop and jazz.

It’s a day with the best African live music, dance workshops, activities for kids and surprising guest musicians while DJ Caliente spins the best African and crossover records. The house band consists of the top from the African musicians from Europe.

Baloji is a tall Belgian rapper with Congolese roots that stringing together an arsenal of styles. Afrobeat, rock, acoustic soul, hiphop, dance, singing, funk and reggae, everything is equally driven from the magic hat. Baloji was born in Lubumbashi and lived in Kinshasa, Oostende and Luik, where his musical career began with the band Starflam. In 2008 he released his debut solo album “Hotel Impala”, a personal and honest sketch of his past. In 2010 the CD “Kinshasa Succursale appeared.

Molly Nilsson is an relatively obscure synthpop artist from Sweden that recently got more exposure since her song “Hey Moon” is featured on John Maus’ latest album, with the man simply singing over the original. It’s no wonder Maus used the song because it’s a perfect example of Molly Nilsson’s talent for simple but beautiful melancholic pop tunes.
