For the last time this year, popup restaurant A La Plancha will appear. We start sunday at 13.00u and will stay open for 12 days. On the 12th of September we will serve, next to fish, beautiful steaks grilled by the Dutch overall BBQ champion Jeroen Hazebroek. Check in on time and don’t miss the summerhit of 2012.

Did you know that a great amount of food is wasted because of its looks? The initiative Kromkommer (= crooked cucumber) brings wonky fruits and veggies back to your plate. These crops would otherwise have been wasted because of their color, shape or size. On Saturday May 25th Kromkommer organizes a guerrilla event at Beursplein, demonstrating the funny looks and tastefulness of wonky veggies.

Bring your best homemade jam, chutney, pies, bread, anything edible to swap and eat together with us. Bring your favorite wine and swap that too. We will have the tables ready and with good music we will enjoy our meal together.

They sure are tasty… On May 18th, Rotterdamse Oogst are hosting a Weeds Dinner, in cooperation with the brand new, freshly opened Fish restaurant KAAP, and Caroline Zeevat, who wrote a book on weeds. They’ll be serving plants and unstoppable produce from the water, i.e. oysters, crayfish and the like.

Schot Koffie is a newly established speciality coffee roasting company with a strong focus on quality. Schot Koffie selects and purchases it’s (unroasted) green coffee beans with care and roast the coffee using a drum roaster.
