Two generations of music will take up arms and fight it out. Armed with boxes of old and not so old records our dj’s will commence battle at 22.00 hrs and fight untill the early hours. No prisoners will be taken!

Strange Fruit is known for it’s highly danceable nights full of boogie, electronica, house, dubstep, UK Funky and progressive soul and hiphop. In other words: the best soulful electronica, where DJ’s and live acts are perfectly combined together. On Sunday February 19th this tradition will be continued at BIRD: producer and beat maker Dimlite and drummer Julian Sartorius will take you on a lunatic musical journey.

Jazzclub / restaurant BIRD is located under the first seven arches of the former Hofplein Station. A club with a platform full of jazz, soul, hiphop, funk and new electronica. Every Thursday StraightupJazz presents a national and an international artist with a unique view on Jazz. On February 16th Thelonious4 Plays Monk’s Music will pay a tribute on jazz legend Thelonious Monk.

Every Friday you can dance at the hottest parties Rotterdam has to offer at BIRD. Soul, trihop, electronica, dub, folk, disco, house, funk, broken beat, fusion, jazz and hip hop. World renowned jazz DJ, Maestro, will present his Blue Note Trip on February 10th.

All Eyes On is a new clubnight with boogie, soul, funk, Detroit house and a dash of electronica. The Belgian allrounder Lefto will be on the one’s and two’s for the first edition on Friday February 17th.
