A museum is in its classical notion an institution in service of the audience, besides the collecting and caring for objects while researching and exhibiting them. These objects are usually of scientific, artistic, cultural or historical value. Contemporary artists and curators broke down the historical notion of the museum as a temple of knowledge by showing temporary artworks, bringing politics within the walls or organising social events as artworks.
