DJ Maestro’s Blue Note Trip in BIRD
Every Friday you can dance at the hottest parties Rotterdam has to offer at BIRD. Soul, trihop, electronica, dub, folk, disco, house, funk, broken beat, fusion, jazz and hip hop. World renowned jazz DJ, Maestro, will present his Blue Note Trip on February 10th.
Maestro plays jazz with influences from club, soul, funk and latin. With these influences it seems he has been raised on soulfood, but actually comes from a family where everybody listened to classical music. Maestro played violin as a child, but later on was mesmerized by the turntables, mixers, headphones and vinyl albums and it left him with an insatiable hunger for record collecting and spinning.
His international breakthrough came with the release of his phenomenal Blue Note Trip album, which sold over 250.000 copies. Being a program director at Arrow Jazz FM and presenting a jazz program on Radio 6, he also is the founder of the dutch station Radio Jazz. The DJ knows how to please a crowd with his Blue Note Trip nights, national and international performances on festivals like North Sea Jazz.
