The seventh edition of the Beatmakers Union is pushing the envelope! We got the Fremdtunes Vinyl Market for the Diggers. We have the SoundSupply (TeachMusic) Live jam area with all types of different gear to play around with. We got Beatsets by MOODS and SNEAZE. And of course we got the Live Beatmaking with a special guest in attendance through the Interwebs.

Saurus is a new jazz trio that was created when bassist Camiel Jansen wanted to audition for the Conservatory of Berlin. He asked Hans van Oosterhout, drum teacher at Codarts, for help recording the demo. Together with Alessandro Russo, tenor saxophonist and impro-god from Italy, they formed a trio and Saurus was born.

Sherry Dyanne is a soul and jazz singer with a natural, authentic retro sound. Her voice takes you to the days of Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, freshly baked apple pie and nostalgic jazz clubs. That’s Sherry’s style: a combination of past and present, jazz and soul.

Eduardo Rojo is currently studying at Codarts, the Conservatory of Rotterdam. Previously, he studied classical piano at the conservatory of Tenerife and he received his master jazz piano in Barcelona so Eduardo Rojo is a respected figure in the Spanish jazz scene.

On this concert evening Hidde van Schie will present his debut double album and a brand new publication designed by 75B about his artwork at Kantine Walhalla.

Home Grown is BIRD’s new breeding ground for musical talent. An opportunity for young musicians to perform on a professional stage, develop new sounds in front of an audience (that doesn’t solely exist of friends, parents and grandmothers). Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde is a hip-hop group that became well known in the early nineties (then known by the name, The Pharcyde) as one of the first alternative underground hip hop acts. At a time when gangsta rap, especially around the West Coast, prevailed, these four men were standing out in the crowd with their own unique sound.

The Heliocentrics is a London-based music collective which can’t be easily put in a box . Those who tried called it contemporary acid jazz, although you can also find elements of hip hop, funk, modern jazz, psychedelic electronics and world music. The Heliocentrics’ musical versatility can also be found in their collaborations.

KAL Band is a urban Romani band from the Belgrade suburbs. The music style that this band has created, western critics call Rock’n’Roma. From 2006, when they started their career, to the present, the band has played over 400 concerts.
