Our ambition is a city bursting with oppurtunities in which we can realize our ambitions and which encourages us to do business. From this perspective, we look at the cultural sector of Rotterdam. We want to identify where opportunities for the new generation that lives differently, work and live.

A perfect match for our new Black Edition!

Students from the Hogeschool Rotterdam, together with FITGIRLCODE are organizing #BOOTCAMP to collect money for Fight cancer. On May 23rd about a 100 people will be sporting for a good cause in the Vroesenpark in Rotterdam Blijdorp. Afterwards there will be a goodie bag for all participants and the possibility to consume healthy food and drinks.

It is not the goal of the conference to come up with ready-made solutions that may prove outdated tomorrow or perhaps next year, but rather to discuss the process of urban transformation, the ongoing design, development and governance of cities that are to be resilient and agile, no matter what happens. But how do we reach that goal and what challenges do we have to be prepared to face?

Het Tussenuur ft. Stadsgeheimen presents: ‘In Rotterdam spreken we Rotterdams’

What is this thing about language in Rotterdam? Why is it typical? These are the questions Dutch writer Sanneke van Hassel tried to tackle in Stadsgeheimen #2 ‘Duizend Tongen’. Together with photographer Carel van Hees she tried to map this phenomenon, gathering words and images from five citizens with different backgrounds, from Iran to Suriname, Turkey and England.
