July 8th of this year Ollie Q. And The Deep Six played together with the regulators at the Caribbean Ska-Jazz Extravaganza on the cruiseship SS Rotterdam. This was all part of the North Sea Round Town Festival. Both bands made this delicious feast a memorable afternoon. Now you get another chance to see these insanely good ska bands again and see the wonderful vibes of that sunny afternoon in July relive.

For the fourth and last time we will host a Live in Your Living Room concert in our house! This time we will have two special singer/songwriters: Daisy Cools & Fuck The Writer.

Making Your Band is a day all about young musicians and how to get ahead in the music business. You can follow workshops by well-known Dutch artists. For example: bandmembers of Moke, Gem, The Deaf and Face Tomorrow. If you’re more interested in the business side of music, there will be clinics about management, bookings, social media, contracts and more.

The Image Festival itself might be over but, we continue with our monthly Image Labs at the Unie. This first edition we look back at the festival and in the spirit of the festival we linger on with theme Image & Music once more. We’ve invited Daybroke to contribute to this ‘Looking back at the Festival’ with their videoclips Hey Girl and Sabotage.

If you’re into semi acoustic intimate live music, why not visit a concert in someone’s livingroom? From 18 November ‘till 28 November, there are several concerts around town at people’s home. Wolfest returns to Wolfart after 5 months of hibernation in sync with the arrival of the autumn nights. For the previous session we took advantage of the beachy summer weather by starting early with BBQ and DJ’s.

For this edition the Wolfart bar will have a selection of seasonal beers and imports on hand for tasting throughout the evening. Of course, your old favorites will also be available as well as wine, colas and juice. Again we will have guest DJ’s for the before and after program.

The Parents, winner of the GPZH 2010, are selected to take part in the Wild Card Show of the Music Matters Award, the 30th of October in Doelen. For the program of Music Matters Day & Night.

New Cool Collective & Typhoon were the highlight of many festivals this summer. The phenomenal collaboration between big band jazz and hiphop is now hitting to clubs. A must see for everybody who likes to dance and jump around with a big smile on their face.

A night with The New Earth Group (TNEG) and the The Rotterdam Symphonic Wind Orchestra (RSB Orchestra). After their successful cooperation during the festival ‘Wereld van Witte de With’ in 2008, it was immediately clear, TNEG and the RSB Orchestra would certainly repeat this success.
