On 13 January at 19.00 hr opening of Fleeting by Ir. Thessa Menssen, director Infrastructure & Maritime affairs (COO) Port of Rotterdam N.V. Four artists research the importance of light and sound for our perception of everyday reality : Marco Douma, Roel Meelkop, Rutger Zuydervelt and Barbara Helmer.

With contemporary photography with a large cut eye to classic photography René Sommer takes you into the life of the city. We see how rich and poor live alongside each other and the younger to the next party going with older enjoy the city life in old age. An exhibition that everyone will recognize something and it will take.

Hans Sonnenberg celebrates the 50th anniversary of his Gallery Delta this year. Contemporary wise he has been there and seen it all. To start 2012 properly we invited four great artists for our new show. Gino and The Garlic Myth, Olivier Vrancken and Ted Parker are very talented artists who each work in their own way.

MAMA’s first exhibition of 2012 is by artists Lizzie Fitch (US, 1981) and Ryan Trecartin (US, 1981). Together with Rhett LaRue (US, 1982) they have made a series of new works especially for this exhibition, which will be shown with other works by Fitch and a selection of Trecartin’s most recent body of work, Any Ever (2009-2010).

Move over Hollywood! This time we’ll look at the magic of the movies through designers’ eyes.

During this evening we’ll roll out the red carpet for maker of film posters, trailers, special effects and art-direction.
