Every last wednesday of the month, this talk-show takes place at Cafe Engels. The talk-show has a large focus on arts, culture and literature, contemporary social issues and the forgotten stories of the city. Interesting conversations with interesting guests, live music and Club Ram Horna Late Night Drinks.

Bazar Bizar Minishop Bingo

Because it’s almost time to say bye-bye for Bazar Bizar to their temporarily spot at the Minishop, they organize a Bingo. First prize is a free stall at the Bazar Bizar market next year. Bingo cards cost 1,- each.

Stories — Iceland

Stories is a series of events about the art of storytelling. The evening offers an original way of enjoying a story with performance, music, art and exotic food and drinks.

Each event focuses on a different country or a culture where a storyteller performs in his/her own language. The audience gets a short description of the story being told so they can follow the storyline as well is fill in the gaps with their own interpretation and imagination. The focus of this installment of Stories is Iceland.

There are many good initiatives in Rotterdam but they’re not always visible enough. Your Space, Klankenhaus and the Rotterdamse Jongerenraad combined their forces to hopefully make a change and make these initiatives more transparent.

7DI Monthly Meetup

7 Days of Inspiration is a national project and tries to take the Netherlands to a higher level from Monday, February 28 ‘till Sunday, March 6, 2011. The project is based on social capital, there is no money involved. On the 2nd of November it’s time for the monthly meetup.

On 29 and 30 october more than 100 creative businesses in the Delfshaven borough will open their door to the public.

There will also be workshops and other activities which will take place in the bermuda triangle of Historisch Delfshaven – Lloydpier – Coolhaveneiland with De Machinist as the center of the action.

In collaboration with Seeds of Change festival, Van alle markten thuis brings the best of all the world together in one theme based market.

After two successful summer editions we are closing this cultural market season with again some amazing performances, fashion shows, poetry readings and more. And of course there are a lot handmade/homemade products that can be purchased! Afterwards there is also a public debate about the safety in the community in the context of the international peace week

Pressure Cooker is a networking event, where 25 young creatives get to work with a ‘case’ as suggested by a commercial company. After a couple hours, five interesting and useful ideas are presented to the company. The company decides whether and how one or more ideas are put into action.
