Opening DAMAGE Playground store Rotterdam
DAMAGE is proud to be setting foot on the Hillelaan 29 in Rotterdam-Feijenoord on what we would like to call the ‘border of hope and future’. DAMAGE embraces broad thinkers and free spiritedness. The DAMAGE Playground is a fashion store, creative space, gallery, bookstore, record store and web store.
The selection of menswear, books, magazines, music and decor items seeks to provide, besides quality, the story and creative process behind the physical object. You can do more than you think is the credo.
The DAMAGE Playground is a self curated space mainly based upon multi-functionalism, transparency, and a three wall concept combining various functions. Furthermore the physical space is connected with the web store by integrating the two.
Collaborators such as Miya Kondo, Chris Slutter and de BENDE have been chosen for their own take of adding ‘creative’ value to the world and their ambiguity. A central element are self-designed ‘human hangers’ wooden mannequins allowing for a playful and yet simple way of mixing and matching outfits. Customers will also be offered the opportunity to mix and match their preferred styles online.
DAMAGE is set up by the brothers Alexandre and Anibal Furtado.
The DAMAGE Playground will be holding an open house for the public on Sunday September 16 from 12.00 -17.00 hrs with food and drinks by our neighbours RAAF from nr.19. There is also an exhibition by Dutch artist Jos Mosselveld. At 13.00 hrs Rotterdam Alderman/Wethouder Korrie Louwes will officially declare the Playground open.
Come, drink beer and save water with us.
