Modelessen is a sewing course wich main purpose is to teach a combination of sewing techniques and pattern making. Creating your own designs is a very important aspect of the class.

Tricknology booklaunch

Johan Kleinjan and Gees Voorhees proudly present ‘Tricknology’; a handfolded, signed and numbered book with a screenprinted cover. It contains drawings that were inspired by the cult ‘nation of five percent’ and will be presented at TENT on Sunday May 31st (15.00-17.00 hrs.).

Material Night: Glass

An evening all about an age-old, man-made material that has long been associated with innovation and progress: glass. This Material Night focuses on how contemporary designers take up the challenge of glass and experiment with it. Moderator Lennart Booij hosts an evening with guests including designers from Atelier NL and Toon Koehorst and Jannetje in ’t Veld, curators of the exhibition GLASS.

Open Set 2015 - Graphic design summer school.

The Dutch Graphic Design Summer School Open Set is a two-week intensive series of workshops, lectures and studio visits emphasizing on the interaction between noted Dutch and International graphic designers and artists. Our goal is to promote and enhance the social value of design by facilitating debates around the chosen theme from a rich diversity of perspectives, design trends and traditions, and cross-disciplinary cultural practices.

No Man’s Art Gallery pop-up exhibition |Rotterdam|

No Man’s Art Gallery organizes pop-up exhibitions at secret locations worldwide. In the end of May 2015, the gallery will pop-up somewhere in Rotterdam and unless you sign up you will not know where it will take place. The gallery exhibits young Dutch talented artists alongside the artists that were found during the previous pop-up galleries in Cape Town, Shanghai, Copenhagen, Paris, Mumbai, Hamburg and Amsterdam.

Rotterdam counts more old fashioned murals than any other city in the Netherlands, and today, street art still defines a large part of our city’s urban identity. Z-Files #11 is a live talkshow about the current state of Street Art - and Beyond. With: Rens Muis (75B), Dave van der Heijden (Hip Hop in je Smoel and Rewriters), interdisciplinary street art collective Opperclaes, community painters Haas&Hahn (Favelapaintings), visual artist Onno Poiesz.

JOEY RAMONE Project Space is pleased to host the solo exhibition by Dutch artist Marjolijn Kok, which will be presented at the new project space next to the main gallery space. The exhibition opens on Saturday 25 April and runs till Saturday 30 May and it coincides with the solo exhibition in the gallery by Dutch artist Wietse Eeken.

On Labor Day, Friday May 1st three exhibitions will be opening in TENT: the solo exhibition of artist Priscila Fernandes, a fictional and temporary museum curated by TENT Curatorial Fellow Niekolaas Johannes Lekkerkerk and a presentation by Eva Olthof concerning Berlin’s first public academic library.
