With a shared exhibition, JOEY RAMONE and ROODCAPJE Radicals will present Cult Of The Concrete, an exhibition curated by Alexis Milne. Part one of this shared exhibition will be presented at JOEY RAMONE and will open on January the 30th. The second part of this exhibition will be presented at the ROODCAPJE Radicals festival in April.

The Piet Zwart Institute houses the international Master programmes of the Willem de Kooning Academy at Hogeschool Rotterdam. Named after the pioneering Dutch designer Piet Zwart, who worked experimentally across different media and contexts, our institute offers a rich combination of in-depth specialisation and interdisciplinary exchange in an intimate learning environment.

During ART Rotterdam Week, Atelier Van Lieshout will be open for the public, showing the 11 metre high installation Blast Furnace. Additionally, the AVL team will be casting new works in metal, using smoldering ovens and rudimental machinery, making this a unique opportunity to see Atelier Van Lieshout at work.

Opening ‘New Romantic Spirit’, Woody van Amen & Hidde van Schie at TENT

Pop Art legend Woody van Amen, whose work spans over fifty years, and painter/musician Hidde van Schie, who has been active for only ten years, meet in a spectacular double exhibition. In their joint search for images that express a new and contemporary way of life, they will present paintings, light works, installations, and collages that react to an increasingly complex visual reality.

The festive opening of the exhibition takes place on Thursday 5 February at 20:00. During the Kunstblock evening on Friday 6 February, TENT is open until 21:00.
