Architecture Day

During Architecture Day 13 iconic Rotterdam buildings will be open to the public. Have you ever been in the Delftse Poort, for instance, the Karel Doorman or the new Pauluskerk? This is your chance. The epicentre of Architecture Day in Rotterdam is the Hofpoort, which will be transformed into a 24-hour city. Just drop in at the lobby staffed by volunteers who know everything about the festival.

Maas dance & theater for a young audience, will move to the Maaspodium in Lloydkwartier Delfshaven. We would like to introduce ourselves, our new home and up and coming artists to the public of Rotterdam. On the 28th and 29th of June we celebrate our housewarming with Voor de leeuwen # 1.

Muziek op de Rotte

Muziek op de Rotte presents three days of classical, tango and jazz music from a floating stage. From the wharf of the Noordplein public let themselves be carried along on the sounds of sultry tango, classical music and disarming jazz . This year the festival takes big time. Known (international) names like Benjamin Herman, Sinfonia Rotterdam, Ocobar, Los Locos Lindos and Mijke Loeven Band, but also Rotterdam talent, enter the floating stage on the Rotte.

This sunday come and discover this new festival in Rotterdam. Young art talent from Rotterdam will be performing cabaret, animation art, theatre, world-music and jazz in theatre De Gouvernestraat (old Lantaarn Venster).

The Minor Details EP release party

The Minor Details is a noisepop band from Rotterdam. The Minor Details is Max Maas on drums & vocals (ex-mono, The Cuties), Christine Madern on bass, keyboard & vocals (ex-Tokyo A Gogo) and Jeroen S. Rozendaal on guitar, keyboard, sampling & vocals (ex-Room 101, ex-De Vogels, ex-New Earth Group). Their debut EP is out now on yellow vinyl and mp3 download.

The Eendracht Festival is the showcase festival of Rotterdam that takes place twice a year. The next edition will be on Thursday, June 13th, where as many as 52 Rotterdam acts, spread across seven locations around the Eendrachtsplein showcase how many great artists Rotterdam has.

One of the most iconic buildings in Rotterdam, the Hofpoort on the Hofplein, will be transformed into a 24-hour city on Friday 21 June and Saturday 22 June. All are welcome to come and eat, drink, dance, relax, breakfast, discover, meet, skate, create, shop and much more. For a full 24 hours the Hofpoort will be the epicentre of Architecture Day in Rotterdam.

Rocío Márquez opens Festival Cinéma Arabe Rotterdam

From 16 - 19 May the first edition of Festival Cinéma Arabe takes place at LantarenVenster, Rotterdam. The 4-day festival will be kicked off by the music program Arabesques. By invitation of the festival the acclaimed duo Rocío Márquez and Christian Boissel come to the Netherlands for the European premiere of this breath-taking music program.

Pijnackerplein Bluegrass Festival

Pijnackerplein Bluegrass Festival offers a wide spectrum of American roots ‘influenced’ music of the 40s and 50s: swamp-blues, hillbilly, oldtime, country, folk, rockabilly, etc. The festival starts on Friday 28th June (7pm-11pm) and continues the next day on Saturday 29th (12pm-00am). Expect lots of (inter)national live bands, sessions & workshops, cartoon exhibitions, picnic, food & ice cold budweiser!
