Strange Fruit presents Dimlite vs Julian Sartorius
Strange Fruit is known for it’s highly danceable nights full of boogie, electronica, house, dubstep, UK Funky and progressive soul and hiphop. In other words: the best soulful electronica, where DJ’s and live acts are perfectly combined together. On Sunday February 19th this tradition will be continued at BIRD: producer and beat maker Dimlite and drummer Julian Sartorius will take you on a lunatic musical journey.
Dimlite also known as Dimitri Grimm may be considered as one of the founders of the international beat scene and is admired by greats like Flying Lotus and Gaslamp Killer. He is a pioneer in the field of experimental electronica with influences from hiphop, jazz and bass music. Dimlite’s style is difficult to summarize in a few words: he plays willingly with his audience and sees music in almost everything that makes noise, his style can be described as a tripped out mind fuck. Man Against The Machine: Dimlite will share the stage with the up and coming drum talent Julian Sartorius. He has colaborated with Jean-Paul Bourelly, Sophie Hunger and Nils Petter. No reason to stay at home this Sunday!
