Theresia Walser: Die Zufallsverwalter
Reading/discussion in collaboration with Stichting Cultuur & Kommunikation
The renowned play writer Theresia Walser invites theater makers and anyone interested to a reading at Goethe-Institut Rotterdam.
By reference to three of her dramatic works Theresia Walser will talk about the unpredictable capriciousness of her characters, their “participation in the development of the play” (Walser), dramatic composition of conversation and coincidence. The reading is followed by a discussion with Alexandra Koch (Nederlands Letterenfonds).
Before becoming a play writer Theresia Walser (*1967) graduated in acting. The youngest daughter of Martin Walser was awarded various prizes such as the “Stücke”-Advancement Award of the Goethe-Institut (1999/2001). She also got a scholarship of the BHF-Bank-Foundation for the Frankfurter Positionen (2006). In 2011/2012 she shares the lectureship of poetics at the University of Koblenz-Landau with the writer Karl-Heinz Ott.
